East Windsor, NJ 08520 - 9/20/21 Serious Motor Vehicle Crash on Windsor-Perrineville Road near Cedarville Road
On September 20, 2021, at approximately 7:00 a.m., East Windsor Police, Robert Wood Johnson EMS, Capital Health Paramedics, East Windsor Rescue Squad #s 1 & 2, Robbinsville EMS, and Millstone Fire-EMS personnel responded to a serious head-on motor vehicle accident on Windsor-Perrineville Road in East Windsor. Upon arrival, emergency personnel tended to five (5) injured individuals, four (4) of whom were seriously injured. The four (4) injured individuals were all Allentown High School Students, two (2) of which were on the Allentown High School Soccer Team.
The two (2) vehicles involved were a 2019 Nissan Sentra, in which the four (4) high school students were traveling, and a 2005 Toyota Tundra, in which a 41 year old male was traveling. The operator of the Toyota Tundra suffered only minor injuries, while the four (4) teens were seriously injured. The operator of the Nissan Sentra was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center by Millstone Township Fire Department EMS. The front and rear seat passengers of the Nissan were transported first to McKnight Elementary School by Robert Wood Johnson EMS and East Windsor Rescue Squad #1, and from there, they were transported to RWJ New Brunswick by medevac, in a NJ State Police Northstar Medical Helicopter, and a RWJBarnabas Health Helicopter. The other rear seat passenger was taken to Capital Health RMC by Robbinsville EMS. The operator of the Toyota, who suffered minor injuries, was transported by East Windsor Rescue Squad #2, to RWJ New Brunswick.
The crash is being actively investigated by the East Windsor Township Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office Serious Collision Response Team.
